Counselling can make positive changes to our thinking, behaviour, feelings, relationships, and emotional well-being.
Talking about our thoughts, feelings and issues is an important way of dealing with them. Our friends and family/whanau can often help us, but sometimes we need to talk with someone else. Professional counsellors are trained to listen carefully, and help you to find your own answers”.
Mid North Family Support has six experienced counsellors, trained in a wide range of counselling genres and skills. We work with couples and individuals of all ages. The work we do includes, but is not limited to:

#Identifying goals and potential solutions to problems;
#Strengthening self-esteem
#Encouraging behaviour change;
#Improving communication skills
Our work is funded by government agencies and philanthropic funders, allowing us to provide counselling for free to everyone who could benefit from counselling.
